Description
Surface Preparation:
Prior to the application of Sikaflex®-292i, surfaces must be clean, dry, and free from any traces of grease, oil, and dust. It is essential to carry out appropriate surface treatment to ensure a lasting bond. It is recommended to consult the current edition of the appropriate Sika® pre-treatment table for surface preparation suggestions. Please note that these suggestions are based on experience and should always be verified through tests on original substrates.
Application:
Sikaflex®-292i can be extruded between 10 °C and 40 °C (climate and product), but it should be considered that changes in reactivity and application properties can affect the final result. The optimal temperature for substrate and sealant is between 15 °C and 25 °C.
Please note that the viscosity of the adhesive will increase at low temperatures. For easy application, it is recommended to condition the adhesive to room temperature before use.
To ensure a uniform thickness of the joint line, it is recommended to apply the adhesive in the form of a triangular bead. Sikaflex®-292i can be extruded with manual, pneumatic, or electric guns. The open time is significantly shorter in hot and humid climates. The parts must always be installed within the open time. Never join adhesive parts if the adhesive has formed a skin.
Tooling and finishing:
Tooling and finishing should be carried out within the skin time of the sealant. Sika® Tooling Agent N is recommended for use. Other finishing agents should be tested for suitability and compatibility before use.
Removal:
Uncured Sikaflex®-292i can be removed from tools and equipment with Sika® Remover-208 or another suitable solvent. Once cured, the material can only be mechanically removed. Hands and exposed skin should be immediately washed with Sika® Cleaner-350H cleaning towels or a suitable industrial hand cleaner and water. Do not use solvents on the skin!

Shipments and Returns
Return Policy
You may return most new, unopened items within 30 days of delivery for a full refund. We will also pay the return shipping costs if the return is the result of our error (you received an incorrect or defective item, etc.).
You should expect to receive your refund within four weeks of your parcel being delivered to the returning courier, however in many cases you will receive a refund more quickly. This time period includes the transit time for us to receive the return from the carrier (5 to 10 business days), the time it takes for us to process the return once received (3 to 5 business days), and the time it takes your bank to process our refund request (5 to 10 working days).
If you need to return an item, simply log in to your account, view your order using the "Complete Orders" link in the My Account menu and click the Return Item(s) button. We will notify you via email of your refund once your returned item has been received and processed.
