Description

The GPSMAP 78s is a portable high-sensitivity receiver with a 2.6" color transflective LCD display, a 3-axis electronic compass, a barometric altimeter, a worldwide basemap with shaded relief, and a microSD™ card slot for additional maps. With the high-sensitivity GPS receiver and the exclusive HotFix® satellite quick acquisition system, the GPSMAP 78s quickly and accurately locates the position and ensures optimal reception in any environmental condition. The device is waterproof (IPX7) and has a 1.7 GB internal memory. The GPSMAP 78s features a 3-axis electronic compass with tilt compensation and a barometric altimeter that tracks pressure changes and indicates precise altitude. The device can be used to track barometric pressure over time and observe any changes in weather conditions. The device comes with a preloaded worldwide basemap with shaded relief that can be enhanced with optional mapping and functionality. With a 3.5 GB internal memory and a microSD slot, topographic maps, BlueChart® g2 marine charts, or City Navigator NT® road data can be used to create a route with turn-by-turn directions. The GPSMAP 78s also supports BirdsEye™ imagery integration (with subscription) and is compatible with the free Custom Maps software, which can convert paper maps into downloadable electronic maps for the device. The GPSMAP 78s allows for wireless sharing of waypoints, tracks, and routes with other compatible Garmin devices. The device is compatible with the Garmin Birds Eye™ service, providing access (with subscription) to the largest global database of satellite imagery, and is capable of managing raster mapping generated from scanning paper maps through the Custom Maps application.

Shipments and Returns

Return Policy

You may return most new, unopened items within 30 days of delivery for a full refund. We will also pay the return shipping costs if the return is the result of our error (you received an incorrect or defective item, etc.).

You should expect to receive your refund within four weeks of your parcel being delivered to the returning courier, however in many cases you will receive a refund more quickly. This time period includes the transit time for us to receive the return from the carrier (5 to 10 business days), the time it takes for us to process the return once received (3 to 5 business days), and the time it takes your bank to process our refund request (5 to 10 working days).

If you need to return an item, simply log in to your account, view your order using the "Complete Orders" link in the My Account menu and click the Return Item(s) button. We will notify you via email of your refund once your returned item has been received and processed.

Shipping

We can ship to virtually any address in the world. Please note that there are restrictions on some products and that some products cannot be shipped to international destinations.

Please also note that shipping rates for many items we sell are based on weight. The weight of any such item can be found on its detail page. To reflect the policies of the shipping companies we use, all weights will be rounded to the next full pound.
