Description
Surface preparation:
Surfaces must be clean, dry, and free from grease, oil, and dust to ensure lasting adhesion. The surface treatment depends on the specific nature of the substrates and can be found in the current edition of the appropriate Sika® Pre-treatment Table. It is important to note that these recommendations are based on experience and must still be verified with tests on original supports.
Application:
Sikaflex®-291i can be worked between 10°C and 40°C, but it should be considered that variations in reactivity and application properties can affect the final result. The optimal temperature for substrates and sealant is between 15°C and 25°C. Sikaflex®-291i can be worked with manual, pneumatic, or electric piston guns.
Tooling and finishing:
Tooling and finishing must be carried out within the skin formation time of the sealant. The use of Sika® Tooling Agent N is recommended. Other finishing agents should be tested to verify their suitability and compatibility before use.
Removal:
Uncured Sikaflex®-291i can be removed from tools and equipment with Sika® Remover-208 or another suitable solvent. Once cured, the material can only be mechanically removed. It is recommended to immediately wash hands and exposed skin areas with hand cleaning wipes such as Sika® Cleaner-350H or a suitable industrial hand cleaner and water. Do not use solvents on the skin.
Painting:
Sikaflex®-291i can be painted after skin formation. Painting may be improved by treating the joint surface with Sika® Aktivator-100 or Sika® Aktivator-205 before the painting process. If the paint requires a baking process (>80°C), the best performance is achieved by allowing the sealant to fully cure first. All paints must be tested by conducting preliminary tests under the same production conditions.

Return Policy
You may return most new, unopened items within 30 days of delivery for a full refund. We will also pay the return shipping costs if the return is the result of our error (you received an incorrect or defective item, etc.).
You should expect to receive your refund within four weeks of your parcel being delivered to the returning courier, however in many cases you will receive a refund more quickly. This time period includes the transit time for us to receive the return from the carrier (5 to 10 business days), the time it takes for us to process the return once received (3 to 5 business days), and the time it takes your bank to process our refund request (5 to 10 working days).
If you need to return an item, simply log in to your account, view your order using the "Complete Orders" link in the My Account menu and click the Return Item(s) button. We will notify you via email of your refund once your returned item has been received and processed.
