The 3M™ Dual Lock™ SJ3550 reclosable fastener is ideal for a wide range of fastening needs without the need for special tools or mechanical systems. Our reclosable fastening system features a high bond acrylic adhesive that adheres well to a wide range of medium to high surface energy materials, including some plastics, metal, glass, and painted surfaces. Ideal for securing access doors, panels, signs, display components, and many other parts that are frequently opened and closed with minimal loss of bond strength over time. It has 40 stems per cm² and a thickness of 5.7 mm, offering excellent performance in long-term temperatures ranging from -30 °C to 70 °C (+95 °C short-term) and can be used for indoor and outdoor applications.
Strength in unity One small mushroom-shaped head may not do much, but when combined with several hundred others, it becomes unbeatable. The concept of strength in unity is the basis for the 3M™ Dual Lock™ SJ3550 reclosable fastening system. When mated, the interlocking stems engage with each other, generating a five times stronger tensile strength than traditional hook and loop fastening systems, while still allowing for easy detachment for quick access. Our SJ3550 reclosable fastening system has 40 stems per cm². When two parts are pressed together, the stems flex and the mushroom-shaped heads slide next to each other. After mating, the stem returns to its original position, creating an interlock with the opposing heads, signaled by an audible snap indicating the lock is engaged. This system supports 1000 open/close cycles before losing 50% of the original tensile strength. No need for drills or screws, clamps or complex installation activities The SJ3550 model uses a high bond acrylic adhesive that adheres well to a wide range of medium to high surface energy materials, including some plastics, metal, glass, and painted surfaces. This allows for quick and easy installation without the need for mechanical fastening processes. The adhesive bonds quickly and reaches maximum bond strength after 72 hours. Once fastened, the interlocking stems provide a similar grip as screws and rivets, but can be easily separated with a simple gesture. Versatile, durable, and invisible There are no limits to the applications of these fastening systems. The stems, mushroom-shaped heads, and backing film are made of polypropylene, while the support is made of polyolefin, offering resistance to common alkaline solutions and solvents, making this product ideal for numerous uses and environments. The fastening system is recommended for use in temperatures ranging from -30 °C to 70 °C in the long term (+95 °C short-term). These fastening systems are invisible after application, leaving the surface smooth and unaltered, ensuring a secure bond for over 1000 open/close cycles. The SJ3550 fastening systems consist of a high bond acrylic foam tape protected by a removable liner. This structure allows for better contact with irregular or thin textured surfaces. For different levels of bond strength, this fastening system can be paired with different types of 3M Dual Lock reclosable fastening systems. Here are the suggested combinations for fastening systems: Type 250 with type 170 Type 250 with type 250 Type 170 with type 400 Type 250 with type 400 For quick grip and high bond strength, but limited lifecycle, all 3M Dual Lock products can be used in combination with 3M™ Hook and Loop™ (hook and loop) fastening systems.

Shipments and Returns
Return Policy
You may return most new, unopened items within 30 days of delivery for a full refund. We will also pay the return shipping costs if the return is the result of our error (you received an incorrect or defective item, etc.).
You should expect to receive your refund within four weeks of your parcel being delivered to the returning courier, however in many cases you will receive a refund more quickly. This time period includes the transit time for us to receive the return from the carrier (5 to 10 business days), the time it takes for us to process the return once received (3 to 5 business days), and the time it takes your bank to process our refund request (5 to 10 working days).
